Bon Vivant Market and Cafe

Overall, the place is okay. The atmosphere is cool, but a little loud. Also, the doors are opened to the outside, which is great in theory (because of the fresh air) but in reality we ended up smelling cigarette smoke.

The service was meh, the tea was bleh, but the food was really tasty. We both had crepes with fresh berries and they were very good.

We both likes certain aspects of the place, but in general, nothing special.

Jameson Brown Coffee Roasters

Today we're at Jameson Brown Coffee Roasters:
260 N Allen Ave
Pasadena, CA 91106

We visited with Ingrid Sunberg another amazing writer to check out her stomping grounds. The caffe was big enough for elbow room. The atmosphere was really relaxed and the staff was fun.

The tea cup was HUGE. The details were great, a very industrial feel to the back area. There’s no lot, so it’s street parking only. The noise level was moderate but not high, so if you have to write in silence this is not the place for you; but if you’re use to the bustle of a cafe, then hop on in!

The Village Bakery and Cafe

Today we're at The Village Bakery and Café 3119 Los Feliz Blvd
Los Angeles.

Love this place! Great food, great atmosphere, great service :-)

The only downsides are street parking and a credit card minimum of $5 dollars, but these are minor compared to the awesomeness that is Village Bakery!

M. Street Coffee on Moorpark and Fulton!

We're at M Street Coffee today! 3251 Moorpark St. Sherman Oaks. Neither one of us has been here before, but we'd give it 3 stars overall!

We ordered tea and a bagel. Both were "okay," nothing special, but to be fair, we didn't try the coffee.

Not sure if we'd go back, we ended up leaving because it was too distracting to be there. It was too crowded to work inside and too cold to work outside.

The only reason we would ever consider going back would be because the staff was so great, really friendly and helpful. We ended writing in our favorite café: Becca's condo :-)

1st Blog! Starbucks in Atwater Village

Here's our rating (1 to 5 stars) for the Starbucks in Atwater Village 2919 Los Feliz Blvd.

And yes, we know that this is a high rating for a Starbucks, but this one is THAT good AND it's special to Becca because she wrote her first novel, Riser, there. Also, another perk is the fact that this Starbucks has high tables! This is great because sitting all day can really be hard on the body (or more precisely "the tushy")  and having the option to stand is a great plus!
